I work with both private and public sector organisations including the voluntary sector offering a mobile Office/ Workplace Massage resource for ongoing visits and for individual health and wellbeing events mainly in the Glasgow area.
Some of the organisations who have used this service include; Visibility Scotland, NHS( Glasgow ),British Transport Police (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth)
The massage is provided on a specially designed chair while the recipient remains fully clothed and targets the main stress areas and postural issues of the back, neck, shoulders, arms and hands.
The massage can be provided over the following timescales,10mins,15 mins,
20 mins or 30 mins.
What are the benefits of offering Office Massage within your workplace?
It is simple ,easy and cost effective to organise
There are three simple payment options -
1. Companies pay for the service.
2. The cost is split /subsidised between the employee and the company.
3. Employees pay for the massage themselves individually making it an ideal low/ no cost staff benefit.
Staff are given specific timeslots so they book in advance which means no waiting around or disruption to the normal working day.
It prevents and reduces back aches/pains and postural issues.
The vertical seated position encourages proper alignment of the vertebral column. The head is over the shoulders, the shouders are over the ribcage, and the ribcage is over the pelvis, which is supported by a specially designed massage chair.
The therapist can then target and release muscular tension by using various massage techniques including Acupressure and Soft Tissue Massage within the key areas of the back, neck and shoulders re-educating the body to be in proper alignment. It reduces the effects of postural related symptoms
It helps to reduce muscular aches and pains, tension headaches, increases flexibility and mobility in the muscles and joints, creates a sense of relaxation/ stress reduction and improves general health and wellbeing.
Muscular aches and pains and related symptoms not only can lead to long term back/ health issues arising, but they also distract employees making it increasingly difficult for them to focus or concentrate on daily tasks.
Other direct benefits include-
LESS likelihood of staff absence from stress related ailments.
LESS likelihood of RSI ,back issues and related conditions developing in staff
MORE motivation in your workforce
MORE productivity from an energised, happier staff
